Hi, I'm Gary Gustafson. I cut my teeth in the powersports industry handling electrical design and general problem solving on the engineering teams that launched the Polaris Ranger and Polaris Sportsman lines in the 1990s. I started at Polaris when there were just 2 assembly lines -- 1 for snowmobiles and 1 for ATVs. Victory and Indian Motorcycles weren't on anyone's radar yet, there were no Spirit Lake or Wyoming plants, and management hoped that they might sell 5,000 to 10,000 Rangers per year some day, something that was accomplished when we launched the second platform. From there I switched to serving as an Electrical Engineering Supervisor for Arctic Cat snowmobiles. While working for these companies in Northern Minnesota I developed a real passion for the experiences that powersports vehicles can give us. After spending 13 years at market leaders Polaris and Arctic Cat, I established G-Force Consulting in 2005 in response to an overwhelming need for consulting help in the Powersports manufacturing marketplace. There is enormous risk and reward for new powersports product entries, and I help steer programs so they are profitable. Many companies do not survive their mistakes, but there is no longer a need for enterprises to learn everything "the hard way". I've contributed marketing strategy  and engineering insight towards dozens of new powersports product line launches. I hold two United States Patents----#7,002,454 and #7,278,511 with a third pending. I am a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Motorcycle Industry Council.
